TCU upsets Kansas 62-55

Forth Worth, Texas — After the lowest scoring half in the Bill Self era, the Kansas tried to mount a comeback, but it did not totally materialized as TCU defeated Kansas 62-55 in one of the biggest upsets in Big 12 basketball history.

With the help of Senior Garlon Green, who had 20 points, TCU managed to play consistent defense throughout the game against Kansas and sustained the lead throughout the second half.

For the Jayhawks it was a struggle from everywhere on the offensive end making only 18 shots and going 3 of 22 from three point range.

Freshman Ben McLemore came alive in the second half after going scorless in the first. He finished with 15 points, nine rebounds and three assists.

Jeff Withey was the leading scorer for the Jayhawks on the night with 12 points, eight rebounds and three blocks.

Kevin Young also contributed off the bench tonight with six points and nine rebounds.
