The Kansas Jayhawks (16-1, 4-0) traveled to Austin, Tex. on Saturday, Jan. 19, to play the Texas Longhorns (8-9, 0-4) for its fourth conference game this season. The Jayhawks struggled the whole game to hold a lead, but a comeback from an 11-point deficit in the second half helped the team get back into the game. Freshman guard Ben McLemore led the team with 16 points, but had four of the Kansas’s 15 turnovers. The Longhorns struggled with turnovers as well, racking up 14. Free throws saved the Jayhawks. The team made 21 of 25 free throw attempts, helping Kansas to win 64-59.
