On December 7th, Sporting KC played Real Salt Lake at home for the MLS title. After an additional 30 minutes of play and a grueling 10 round shootout, Sporting KC was victorious and claimed the MLS title.
Kansas football won its first conference game of the season and the past three years on Saturday, Nov. 16 against West Virginia at Memorial Stadium. The Jayhawks last won a conference game was against Colorado in 2010.
On November 12th, #3 Duke, #5 Kansas, #2 Michigan State, and #1 Kentucky participated in the Champion’s Classic in Chicago. Ellis, Wiggins lead Kansas Basketball to 94-83 win over No. 4 Duke.
On November 8th, the Jayhawks (1-0) beat Louisiana at Monroe (0-1) 80-63 in Allen Field House. Andrew Wiggins scored 16 points and had 3 rebounds. Perry Ellis had 12 points and 8 rebounds. The Jayhawks take on Duke on Tuesday, November 12th, in Chicago.
On November 6th, Sporting Kansas City beat the New England Revolution, 3-1, to advance to the MLS Eastern Conference finals.

On October 29th, Kansas basketball played Pittsburg State in an exhibition game. The Jayhawks beat the Gorillas 97-57 in Allen Field House. Highly anticipated freshman Andrew Wiggins scored 16 points and had 6 rebounds. The Jayhawks play next on November 5th against Fort Hayes State.
