The University Daily Kansan will begin taking applications for the summer and fall 2014 semesters.

SUMMER:

Interested applicants can send a cover letter and résumé to elegault@kansan.com. The following positions are available:

FALL:

Applications for all editor positions must be sent to applications@kansan.com by Friday, April 25 at 5 p.m. Applications for all other staff positions must be sent to applications@kansan.com by Monday, May 5 at noon.

Interviews for editor positions will be held on Saturday and Sunday, April 26 and 27 in the Kansan conference room.

—News reporters (beats include: local and state government, Student Senate, campus administration and general assignment) (paid and correspondent positions)

—Arts and features correspondents and bloggers (beats include: features, local music, visual/fine/performing arts, food/drink, movies/television, health/sex/wellness/spirituality) (correspondent positions)

—Multimedia producers (paid and correspondent positions)

—Designers (paid and correspondent positions)

  • —Sports reporters, columnists and bloggers

—Opinion columnists or bloggers

—Correspondent copy editors

You do not need to be a journalism major to work for the Kansan; however, you must be enrolled in at least six credit hours. To apply, email the following materials to applications@kansan.com:
